What are LED Lights
LEDs are light sources based upon a semiconductor. They use an effect called electroluminescence to generate light and are integrated with optical components that control the way the light is radiated and reflected.
They present significant advantages over incandescent illumination in that they consume lees energy, have longer life spans, are very robust, are small in size and offer greater durability and reliability.
They are versatile, easy to install and conveniently provide a a way of creating 'halo' effect illumination (see below).
What size LED Lights can you have?
LEDs for signage are sold by the metre on rolls and we cut them to your requirements. They are usually inserted into Built up Letters to provide illumination from the rear.
Are LED Lights expensive?
LEDs used be more expensive when compared to Neon illumination that was traditionally used to illuminate signage in a similar way. However, LEDs have rapidly fallen in price and they are becoming the preferred way to illuminate signs.
If you combine this with a timer so that the sign illuminates for only part of the night, even more savings can be achieved.
