Materials Composites Fibreglass
This composite is properly known as FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) or GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic).

Glass Reinforced Plastic is very versatile and its inherent characteristics offer a designer a wide scope in the design process. It is light, strong, available in a range of colours and finishes and therefore affords complexitiy of shape and scale of work.

In the signage industry it is used mainly in the provision of standard shaped mouldings and panels onto which other signage, such as letters are added. Custom made shapes, while possible, are only made when costs allow.

Advantages of GRP

  • Flexibility
  • High strength to weight ratio
  • Easily tooled
  • Variety of finishes
  • Easily moulded
  • Affordable
  • Highly durable
