Aluminium

Aluminium is a light and versatile metal that is ideal for all tyes of signange. It is relatively easy to cut and fold and therefore has always been a good choice for signs. Its dominance is now being challenged by the new breed of Aluminium composites that have emerged onto the market in recent years.

Folded aluminium trays with either graphics or some sort of 3d lettering are quite commonly used in signage. However, with the advent of aluminium composites such as Reynobond which are lighter but just as durable, aluminium for full panels is being used to a lesser extent.

However, aluminium continues to be used in Lightboxes or as reinforcements for signage. 

Steel

Steel is largely used to reinforce large signs or as posts onto which aluminium panels can be mounted
