What are Flat Cut Letters

Flat cut letters are letter forms that are cut out of a substrate. These 'substrates' can be made from Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Acrylic, PVC, MDF and Polystyrene. They can vary in thickness ranging from 1mm for stainless steel to 20mm for Acrylic to even thicker for polystyrene.

Flat cut letters start out as a design in a software program. The letter design is then converted to a vectorised format which allows a specalised machine called a CNC router to understand. The router uses the outline data from the design file to cut out the shape from the substrate resulting in a Flat Cut Letter.

What size Letters can you have?

You can have virtually any size you like. As the letters are custom made we can make them as big as you want.

The limitation on size is at the smaller end and there we cannot go below 100mm in height

Are Flat Cut Letters expensive?

Flat cut letters are the cheapest of the family of 3D letters. You could argue that they are the budget end of 3D letters, but that is not to say that they look cheap. When used in an imaginative way they can add a very unique look to a sign.
