Trough Lights

What are Trough Lights

Trough lights also known as line lights are a form of sign illumination. Typically they consist of a series of fluorescent tubes enclosed in a case and mounted slightly above a sign.

They are mounted at right angles to the sign and project their illumination onto the sign face from the front.

They are versatile, easy to install and conveniently provide an even amount of illumination across the whole sign. They are also durable and easy to maintain and cost effective to run. They can also be powder coated to any colour required.

What size Trough Lights can you have?

Pretty much any size you want. They are sold by the meter and can be connected in a series if required. Typically four to five meters in length is not uncommon

Are Trough Lights expensive?

As a means of providng illuminated signs, they are not. Because the light source is flourescent, they tend to consume less energy than standard incandescent illumination.

If you combine this with a timer so that the sign illuminates for only part of the night, even more savings can be achieved.
