Projection signs fall into two areas - Illuminated and Non Illuminated. Both types are designed to attract the attention of passers-by as they are fitted at right angles to a building face.

Due to a limit on how far they can protrude they are smaller sized signs and are used mostly to provide a quick idea of the kinds of services business offer.
